Role Description

Belmore Nurses are seeking qualified AGED CARE Enrolled and Registered Nurses to provide a high standard of nursing care including medication administration, wound management, palliative care and documentation.
The ideal candidates will be customer focused, reliable and adaptable, motivated and committed to the provision of person-centred care and have the capacity to work well autonomously and in a team environment.
Comprehensive clinical knowledge, particularly to age related health issues is essential.
Key Responsibilities (not limited to)
·Ensure all clinical document is congruent with current care requirements of residents
·Administer schedule 8 medications and provide specialised nursing care as required
·Monitor clinical care plans
·Motivate, lead and supervise staff
·Complete reporting and documentation based on Facility policies and procedures

Skills and Experience
·Demonstrated up-to-date knowledge and skills in Contemporary Aged Care Services
·Understanding of the new Aged Care Standards
·Possess a compassionate, caring and supportive nature
·You must have a high level of empathy & compassion for the aged
·Strong leadership and communication skills
·Excellent verbal & written communication skills
·Excellent clinical documentation practice
·Excellent time management & organizational skills
·Be committed in ongoing clinical excellence to providing the highest standard of care & support
·Display a relationship centred approach to care and supervision
·Great understanding of care planning and evaluation documentation

Essential criteria
·Current unrestricted Registration with AHPRA
·Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
·Compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards
·Current National Police Certificate & DCSI
·Medication Safety & Calculations
·Manual Handling, First Aid & CPR/BLS Certificates
·2020 Flu Vaccination
·2020 Coronavirus Training - Infection Control'
·Australian work rights
·Minimum 12 months (600 hrs) paid experience in Australia in your discipline
·Commitment to Quality Patient Care
·Must be available across all shift patterns: Day, Afternoon & Night Duty
You must also have your own reliable transport, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and a high standard of care to patients and residents.
